Via Facebook, Amanda Warren suggests that I add Michael Josephson’s poem “What Will Matter” to my reading list, and I promptly found the poem online and read it. Perhaps the most relevant part is this:
What will matter is not what you bought but what you built; not what you got but what you gave.
Josephson founded the Josephson Institute for Ethics, which has a board that includes actor Tom Selleck and several religious and business leaders.
