In honor of the election, and its grumpy craziness, and the fact that I think there has been far too little fun in this search for goodness, I’m launching a new category called, very fetchingly, “A Little Fun.” Here’s my first entry, wherein writer Catherynne M. Valente advertises her new novel, The Habitation of the Blessed, with this delightful video. In the process, she teaches us more about Medieval Christian metaphysics than we ever expected to know.
A bit of trivia: I was pleased to serve on the jury that gave Valente the Tiptree Award for her mind-blowing In the Night Garden.
