Breathing Into the New Year, ctd.

Continuing in the effort to center for the new year, let me ask you this question: How many birds are there at Squaw Creek? The answer: Bunches and bunches and bunches.

Birds fill the sky at the Squaw Creek RefugeThe large blob in the tree and the blob in the top right center are bald eagles. The dots are geese, ducks and other birds. It’s hard to get a sense of the numbers of birds in this photo without clicking on it to get the larger version. Notice how the birds fill both sky and ground. The sheer numbers, the exuberance of those squawking and soaring hordes, took my breath away.

May your new year be filled with abundance in all ways. Happy 2011!
